Welcome to PowerTeacher...Your New Report Program!
Please remember all the videos and papers you will receive are available through TechTalk. Please click here to access this area for more support, like the helpful videos! You may need to use your Durham Board username and password for access. If you wish to find it yourself go to Staff Portal--Educational Technology--Professional Practice--PowerTeacher. Do NOT click Report Card Resources, as they are no longer valid.
I'm sure you know how to do this, but it's good to be thorough!
Unfortunately ESIS was not updated to Powerteacher, just bought out, so we have moved from one clunky program to another similar clunky program.
This pdf has points you will want to remember so you don't:
A) Believe you've lost all your reports and almost have a heart attack.
B) Actually have put it all in the wrong spot and have to do it again!
There are a couple points to remember when doing this. Mostly from Critical Points, but...
A) You should never see marks from another term. If you do, you forget to make sure you were in the right term.
B) Scroll all the way over to the Report Card section of your screen. All those rows
are a little confusing.
PowerTeacher does have a couple good, new features.
A)The Wildcards for getting all those his/her or he/she right are a little easier to remember!
It has some wonky bits too.
If creating comments in the report section, don't hit Enter as it throws off your count & if your comment is too long PowerTeacher will "save" your comment, but only the characters it can so the rest will disappear.
Comment Guidelines ForThe Advanced:
*** Flagging and applying comments to multiple students only works well if you have one comment you have created for that subject (A, B, C, D levels for groups of students). If you try to apply more than one comment, it will overwrite.
Right clicking in this section will provide you with your Wild Card options.
